Who we are

PromptShip is a deployment platform operated by Pyde Technologies. This policy describes what data we collect when you use promptship.dev, the PromptShip API, CLI, MCP server, and GitHub App, and how we handle it.

What we collect

• Account information: email address, name, and profile details you provide when signing up or connecting GitHub.
• GitHub data: OAuth access tokens and repository contents fetched during builds, scoped to the repositories you explicitly authorize.
• Deployment data: app configuration, environment variables, secrets, build logs, and runtime logs.
• Usage and telemetry: API requests, deploy events, error traces, and performance metrics used to operate and improve the service.
• Billing information: handled by our payment processor. We store billing identifiers and invoice history, not full payment card data.

How we use it

• Operate the platform: clone your repos, build container images, run your apps, and submit mobile builds to the App Store and Google Play on your behalf.
• Authenticate you and enforce access control on your team and resources.
• Bill you for paid usage.
• Monitor for abuse, investigate incidents, and debug errors.
• Communicate service updates and respond to support requests.

We do not sell your data. We do not use your code, logs, or deployment data to train machine learning models.

Subprocessors

We share data with these providers only as required to operate the service:

• DigitalOcean — compute, managed Kubernetes, and container registry.
• Cloudflare — DNS and edge routing.
• GitHub — source code access per your authorization.
• Stripe — payment processing.
• Sentry — error and performance monitoring of the PromptShip platform.
• Apple App Store Connect and Google Play Console — when you submit mobile builds.

Data protection

• All traffic is encrypted in transit with TLS.
• Secrets and access tokens are encrypted at rest.
• Access to production systems is restricted to authorized engineering staff.

Your rights

You can access, export, or delete your data from the PromptShip dashboard at any time. Deleting your account removes your apps, databases, secrets, and associated data. Residual backups are purged on our standard retention schedule.

If you are in the EEA, UK, or California, you have additional rights under GDPR, UK GDPR, and CCPA, including the right to access, correct, delete, and object to processing of your personal data. Contact us at [email protected] to exercise these rights.

Retention

We retain account and deployment data while your account is active. When you delete resources or your account, we remove the underlying data on our standard retention schedule. We may retain limited records longer when required for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention reasons.

Children

PromptShip is not intended for use by children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

We may update this policy at any time. For material changes that reduce your rights or materially expand our data practices, we will provide reasonable prior notice (typically 30 days) via email or in-product notice. Non-material changes take effect immediately on publication.
